Red Beets are one of my favorite vegetables to add to my juices! It gives this beautiful red vibrant color which comes with a TON of nutritional benefits; everything from improving heart and cardiac function, proving anti-inflammatory benefits, and opening blood vessels to improve vasodilation and help with blood flow. When we get our blood pumping, it helps to bring oxygen to our cells to help improve athletic performance and also improve performance in other areas of your life (research shows beets to help in the bedroom by reducing risk of erectile dysfunction and helping to keep an erection). This is a MUST try - it's slightly sweet so try having this as a pre or post workout to replenish lost electrolytes and glycogen stores.
Heart BEET Juice
3 Large Carrots
- 1 Lemon
- 1 inch Ginger Root
- 3 Red Beets
- 2 Apples
- WASH all ingredients well.
- PREP. Remove stem and seeds from the bell pepper and chop off the end of the celery bunch.
- ADD. Add ingredients to the juice extractor.
- SERVE. Serve immediately or seal in mason jars and store for up to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
