Focusing on

Integrative Health

Approach.

Driven by her mission to create a lasting impact, Kristen DeAngelis is a Functional Dietitian (RDN), Board certified Functional Practitioner (IFNCP), Health Coach, and the Director of Health Coaching at Nutrition Dynamic, the country's largest one-on-one health coaching company.

Specializing in women's health and fertility, Kristen offers individualized services through her functional Trying To Conceive courses and Period Health Programs at Nutrition Dynamic.

Her expertise is sought after by emerging coaches in the field of Functional Nutrition, as she actively educates and mentors them through her work with Metabolic Mentor University.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Exercise Science from Virginia Tech and is both an IFNA board-certified functional practitioner and a Registered Dietitian. In addition to her impressive credentials, Kristen brings 15 years of experience as a seasoned yoga instructor, certified in Hatha/Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Yin modalities.

Dedicated to the well-being of her clients, coaches, and the global community, Kristen helps them achieve optimal health, vitality, and empowerment through holistic solutions.

Kristen is originally from Boston Massachusetts but recently moved to Burlington VT in 2021, from Chicago, Illinois. She loves being with her family and friends, traveling, running, skiing, meeting new people, and having engaging conversations. Her contagious energy and inviting personality allow clients to connect deeper and achieve lasting results. Kristen’s mission is to have a meaningful impact on the health, happiness, and vitality of people's lives using food and lifestyle as medicine.

Philosophy #1: Education & Empowerment

Dedicated to educating clients on the what, why, how around the goals they are trying to achieve. Education drives compliance as well as empowers you to be your own patient advocate after your work with me!

Philosophy #2: The Body is Interconnected - Treat it that Way

Instead of focusing on one body system, we must recognize the gut, liver, thyroid, adrenals, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, lymphatics... are ALL connected. We can not fully heal focusing on one area - instead we need to connect all the dots and heal together in a systematic way.

Philosophy #3: Individualized Approach. Always.

There is no one "diet", some methods of nutrition will work for a short period of time and then they don't. Some will work great for your sister but backfire for you. Some will work in your 20's but not require changes in your 30's or 40's. I have a system and process so we are not going in blind, but all of my programs are 100% individualized and custom to what we see. Functional medicine is like watching a tennis match - I throw a ball to you, and how you're body throws it back tells me the next step we take for YOU!
