Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

Yes. Blueberry Muffins. Delicious.

Oats are a great source of fiber and protein, and when you add in healthy fats from the nuts, and antioxidant rich blueberries, it creates a perfect "meal" that will fill you up with the good source of calories and nutrients you need.  Blueberries are one of those little "power foods" that really just means it's packed with a lot of micronutrients in a small bundle.  Berries are rich in anthocyanin, the compound that gives their blue color and that is powerful in reducing inflammation and clearing out excessive harmful free radicals.

Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 1 cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats (Gluten-Free if you are intolerant/sensitive)

  • 2 Tbsp Cashews

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • dash salt

Add all ingredients to your blender.  Switch on to high and blend VERY WELL for about 90 seconds.  You'll get a thick muffin cake batter as a result. Enjoy!
